Amy Winehouse has been arrested a lot of times in her entire career as a performer. But the arrest that gathered so much public attention occurred in May 7, 2008 when she was pictured by a British tabloid while she was apparently smoking cocaine. However, authorities could not prove from the video that she was really smoking crack cocaine and they later dismissed Winehouse for lack of evidence.

Her drug and alcohol dependence may have caused her untimely death on July 23, 2011. She was found dead on her bed by her bodyguard after he noticed that Winehouse’s position did not change over a long period of time.
