Mia Goth has filed for divorce from Shia LaBeouf in Los Angeles County Superior Court, opening a new family-law case nearly 10 years after the actors married.
The petition, filed October 6, cites irreconcilable differences and lists the couple’s date of separation as July 2025, according to reporting by the Associated Press and the Los Angeles Times. Goth is seeking primary legal and physical custody of the former couple’s 4-year-old daughter, while proposing visitation for LaBeouf.
Goth also asked the court to deny spousal support to either party, AP reported. The actors married in 2016 after meeting while working on Lars von Trier’s "Nymphomaniac: Vol. II." They publicly split in 2018, later reunited and welcomed their daughter in 2022.
Neither Goth nor LaBeouf had publicly responded to requests for comment when the filing was reported. The divorce petition is a civil family-law proceeding, not a criminal case, and no judge has yet ruled on custody, support or the dissolution itself.
The filing arrives immediately after a separate Los Angeles court dispute between LaBeouf and his former partner FKA twigs was resolved. That matter concerned confidentiality provisions in a prior settlement and is legally distinct from Goth’s divorce case.
